Jens F. Jensen 40 år på Aalborg Universitet
Jens F. Jensen kunne d. 15. august fejre 40-års jubilæum i staten. Han har været tilknyttet Aalborg Universitet i forskellige ansættelser siden 1978 og er i dag professor i Interaktive Multimedier ved Institut for Kommunikation og Psykologi.

Ny bog af Finn Thorbjørn Hansen: At møde verden med undren
Den 5. september 2018 udkommer bogen: "At møde verden med undren - Dannelse, innovation og organisatorisk udvikling i et værensfilosofisk perspektiv." At arbejde undringsdrevet vender op og ned på de processer, vi er blevet vant til at bruge i udviklings- og innovationssammenhænge. Det betyder, siger Finn Thorbjørn Hansen i denne bog, at vi skal begynde at gøre noget andet – og der er noget, vi skal holde op med!

Demente liver op i interaktion med menneskelignende robotter
Et nyt forskningsprojekt viser, at mennesker med svær demens har stor gavn af kontakt til sociale robotter. Det får dem til at live op, og de begynder at tale og blive socialt aktive. Men ifølge forskeren bag projektet, Jens Dinesen Strandbech fra Institut for Kommunikation og Psykologi, er der etiske udfordringer forbundet med teknologien. Der er således risiko for, at robotterne kan blive brugt til at passivisere besværlige demente borgere.

Ph.d.-afhandling ved Rikke Gaardboe: Kritiske succesfaktorer for business intelligence
Omdrejningspunktet for denne ph.d.-afhandling er at identificere de kritiske succesfaktorer for business intelligence-succes i et systembrugerperspektiv. Desuden er den organisatoriske ’impact’ af business intelligence også blevet undersøgt. Det teoretiske fundament har været DeLone og McLeans ’IS success model’ samt Petter, DeLone og McLeans framework for uafhængige variable til business intelligence-succes.
